The Role
Providing front line desktop IT support and other technical advice to business users including help desk monitoring and problem solving, assisting with the maintenance of IT equipment, maintaining PCs and printers, fixing hardware and software faults, setting up and configuring new computer equipment and machine interface network connectivity.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
In liaison with Service Desk Manager.
• Act as the first point of contact for phone calls and emails from staff regarding IT issues and queries.
• Receiving, logging, and managing support requests from internal staff via the IT helpdesk.
• 1st -2nd line support – Troubleshooting problems with inhouse software, through to hardware such as Laptops, PCs, Mobiles, Barcode Scanners, Tablets and Printers.
• Escalate unresolved support requests to Service Desk Manager or an appropriate senior engineer or third party.
• Supporting our mail flow & internal security posture utilizing tools such as Mimecast training video deployments, Phishing Training Deployments, Temperature and Server Monitoring using provided solutions.
• Maintain a high degree of customer service to all members of staff, ensuring that support requests are resolved in a timely fashion.
• Managing End User Equipment - Configuring, and deploying end user equipment such as PCs, Monitors, Laptops, Mobiles, Barcode Scanners, Label printers and accessories.
• Create and manage user accounts on the company’s internal systems.
• Undertake any other reasonable IT-related tasks, projects, or support activities as required to meet the needs of the business and support the effective operation of IT services.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• 4+ GCSEs (A-C Grade).
• A Levels or BTech equivalent
